Dovetail's mission is to improve the quality of every thing. We empower 85,000+ people, from agencies to universities to Fortune 100 companies, to make sense of their customer research in one collaborative and powerful research platform.

We've tripled our team in the last 12 months and we plan to triple again over the next 12 months, whilst also building our team in the US. We're constantly working towards Dovetail being the best place to work for everyone so we're now looking for a People Partner to support them in reaching their full potential based in our San Francisco office. What you’ll do

  • You’ll build effective relationships with our Dovetailers. To develop great people initiatives you’ll need to understand the challenges we have and how we operate. You’ll focus on building great relationships and understanding the needs of our team to be able to support them.

  • You’ll create tailored people initiatives. We’re still an early stage company so we’re looking to start building out key people programs. You’ll work with the leadership team to build out programs across learning and development, performance management, levelling frameworks and compensation strategies.

  • Partner with leadership and people managers. You’ll be supporting and advising our team on all things people-related including performance management and coaching, levelling frameworks and organizational development. You’ll have a solid understanding of California employment laws to advise leadership and people managers.

  • Build diversity and inclusion strategies. We’re building a culture at Dovetail where everyone can be themselves and do their best work. You’ll work with the leadership team to drive impactful DE&I initiatives.

  • Support with navigating ambiguity. We’re rapidly growing, so you’ll have a great ability to support our Dovetailers through change whilst we’re scaling.

Your background

  • You’ll have experience in building impactful people initiatives. You’ll have experience implementing people initiatives including performance management, compensation frameworks, and employee development and growth frameworks. You’ll also have experience in employee relations/conflict resolution.

  • You’ll have a good knowledge of California employment laws. You’ll be responsible for ensuring we’re compliant with state employment laws.

  • You’ll have experience working with both technical and non-technical functions. We’re a product-led company so you’ll have a deep understanding of different functions and the challenges the different functions face.

  • You’re a collaborator and can influence. You have the ability influence and coach leaders, and will have experience developing and leading organizational change initiatives.

  • You’re adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity. You’ll have the ability manage competing priorities with a sense of urgency and the ability to pivot quickly based on the changing needs of the business.

  • You’re a creative problem-solver. You have a curiosity about people and organizational issues that help you drive creative solutions.
