Domain-restricted sign up makes it easy for your colleagues to join and view your workspace when they sign up to Dovetail, without needing an invite.
For example, let’s say you work for acme.com, and your email address is jane@acme.com. With domain-restricted sign up enabled, anyone who signs up for Dovetail and confirms their acme.com email address will be given the option to join and view your workspace.
Enable or disable the feature
To enable or disable domain-restricted sign up:
Click your workspace logo in the top left of the screen.
Click Settings.
Click Security.
Toggle Enable domain-restricted sign up.
Managing access
People who join a workspace using the domain-restricted sign up feature are given a Viewer role. To grant more access, an existing admin or user in the workspace needs to manually change the person’s role to User or Admin. Read About workspace roles to learn more about roles.
Set allowed email domains
You can set the allowed email domains, and have multiple domains. You cannot add free email provider domains like gmail.com or outlook.com, and the domain must match the verified email address for your user account.
To set the allowed email domains:
Click the workspace name.
Click Settings.
Click Security.
Under Allowed email domains, add or remove domains.
