You can make reference to a file in a story in three ways:
From individual file cards
All file cards have the “add to story” button on the top right of the card. You’ll see them on search results, feeds, and in other stories. Pressing this button and selecting your story adds it to the bottom of your story.
From the page when previewing a file
When previewing a document file type, each page has the “add to story” button on the top right of the preview. Pressing this button and selecting your story adds a reference to the specified page to the bottom of your story.
From the stories reference picker
Files can be added within a story. Files will display in the reference picker (icon) within the stories editor. Drag and drop the file into your story to create a reference to the file in the “preview” style. Preview style will provide a thumbnail of the first page (for documents), show a video or audio player (for video and audio), or display the image (for images).
To change the format to ‘card’, click on the Actions (···) menu in the top right corner of the file reference and select “card” from the style options.
You can also insert a saved search block into your story, and configure it to display files.
