Workspace analytics

Workspace analytics help you track the output of your team's research in Dovetail over time. Workspace analytics tracks the creation of Projects, Notes, Highlights, Tags, Insights, and People.

Accessing analytics

To access workspace analytics:

  1. Click the ⚙️ menu at the top right of the screen.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Analytics in the menu on the left-hand side.

Filtering analytics

To filter the date range in analytics:

  1. Click the Date Range button in the top right.

  2. Choose from This month, Last month, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last Year, or specify a custom date range by clicking on the calendar.

To filter your objects in analytics:

  1. Click the Object button below the date range button.

  2. Select and unselect your Dovetail objects of interest.

FAQs


Who can access Workspace Analytics?

Any user—contributor or manager—can access Workspace Analytics.

Can I view a list of the individual objects created in a given month?

At the moment, you can only view aggregated summary numbers of objects, but we are looking to extend this functionality in the future.
