Share your insight with others

Don't let your insights gather dust! In this guide, we'll discuss how to share your insights your way in and out of Dovetail. Watch our webinar chapter on How to share your insights to view and understand methods you can use to start a conversation with your stakeholders.

Start simple and talk through your findings in a team meeting or presentation in present mode. Understand who your audience are and emphasize key findings that they are keen to learn more about.

Remove the barrier to entry and enable public access on your project's insights. When enabled, anyone with the insight's unique link will have access to view the insight outside of Dovetail in a presentable view.

Meet your team where they are. Mention them in a comment or drop the insight's share link into tools like Slack, Notion, Productboard, or Atlassian. Anyone with access to Dovetail will be directed straight to your insights.

If you are on the Starter, Team (legacy), Business or Enterprise plan, encourage stakeholders to self-serve research in a viewer user role. Viewers are free and have read-only access to content across the workspace. They can also subscribe to notifications for newly published insights and comment directly on your work.
